Short Track Speed Skating at the Vancouver Winter Olympics

Short Track Speed Skating is a particular kind of ice speed skating. It is one of the ice skating sports categories that is often included in most of the sports competitions and is also an official event at the 2010 Winter Olympics. What basically happens in this event is that numerous skaters, generally in numbers of four and six skate about in an oval shaped ice track.

The total circumference of the track is 111.12m and the ice rink is 60 meters in length and 30 meters in breadth. The size of the ice rink in case of short track speed skating is just the same as the size of the rink for the international hockey games.
